At St. John's, we believe growing is an important part of the Christian faith. We offer different opportunities for adults to learn and grow in their faith on Sunday morning. Here are some of the upcoming opportunities that are available:
Sunday Morning Adult Education - Is God Anti-Gay?
Dates: September 16, 23, 30 & October 7 at 9:40 a.m.
Facilitator: Ben Akers
Location: Connected Café
Is God anti-gay? Can those who experience same-sex attraction be Christians? How should we, as Christians, think, feel, and act towards those of the LGBT community? If you’re struggling with these questions, if you know someone who is, or if you’re simply curious, join us as we take four weeks to wrestle through these real-life questions! Bring an open mind and an open heart as we learn with one another how to live and love more like Jesus.
Women’s Discipleship Group
Dates: September 23 & October 21 at 11:00am
Facilitator: Mary Wellington
Location: East Room 1 (room across from Connected Café)
The women will meet on Sunday, September 23rd and October 21st at 11:00am in East Room 1 to begin Gospel Foundations: A Wandering People, a seven-session study of the books of Exodus through Judges. A Wandering People continues the story of God’s plan of redemption. Join us as we develop a greater understanding of the purpose of God’s rescue of Israel and grow your confidence that God is still working today for the good of His people. All women are welcome to join in! Questions? Ask Mary.
